This year seems like it's full of massive superhero flicks with Deadpool's huge success and Captain America: Civil War only a couple months away from release.

But before we see the MCU heroes go head to head, DC's biggest guns have to duke it out in Zack Snyder's anticipated Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice!

As much as we've loved the casting for BvS with Ben Affleck donning the cowl and suiting up as Batman, and Gal Gadot getting her Amazon on as Wonder Woman, the film might have been a bit different if Christian Bale ended up signing on…

Snyder revealed in an interview with FilmInk that he thought about casting Bale in the blockbuster, but not in the role you might think! The director dished:

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is only a few weeks away and we're getting a bit more information about what to expect from the blockbuster.

The comic book flick is not only introducing a new Batman played by Ben Affleck, but we're getting our first ever live action Wonder Woman played by Gal Gadot and Jesse Eisenberg's very different version of Lex Luthor.

Aside from the obvious additions, we've also heard we'll get a peek at Jason Mamoa's Aquaman and possibly Ezra Miller's Flash!

Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice Is Getting An R-Rated Version — Vote On Which One YOU'D Rather See!

We're still about a month away from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice being released, but we already have some exciting news about its Blu-Ray release.

While the superhero flick's theatrical release got a PG-13 rating, it was just announced by the MPAA that the home entertainment version of BvS has received an R rating!

No, the reason isn't because of gratuitous Super-sex or Bat-language, but rather due to "sequences of violence".

Obviously Deadpool has proven to be one of the most successful comic book movies ever even with an R rating, and could very well be the reason BvS is getting its more mature "Ultimate Edition".

If you're a fan of the comics, this may make some sense as director Zack Snyder has talked about taking inspiration from Frank Miller's very gritty The Dark Knight Returns story.

Vote and let us know if you'd be interested in checking out the R-rated version of the superhero epic (below)!

Conan O'Brien's Special Batman v Superman Clip Is Pure Hate — But That's Not Why His Audience Is So Angry!

A lot of fans didn't care for the last full Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer — mostly because it seemed to show the titular battle ending in Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill palling around with Wonder Woman.

But during his Conan appearance Wednesday night, director Zack Snyder shared a clip (above) that shows the bad blood is TOTALLY real.

In fact, the clip was so intense that host Conan O'Brien decided to lighten the mood with some teasing about NOT showing it.

Unfortunately that didn't go over too well with the audience…

Everyone wants to be a superhero!

Warner Brothers is about to test the superhero waters in a BIG way with the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in March.

BvS is a HUGE gamble for the studio as it looks to set up the entire DC universe with a new Batman (Ben Affleck) and Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg), as well as the first film appearances of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Mamoa), and a few other rumored heroes.

Ouch! Batman v Superman Director Throws Some Villainous Shade At Marvel's 'Flavor Of The Week' Movies Like Ant-Man!

Don't expect Zack Snyder to direct an Avengers movie anytime soon!

The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director is fond of the film's title characters — two DC Comics heros that, according to Snyder, are "transcendent" of the superhero genre.

In a recent interview, Snyder defended the Dark Knight and Man Of Steel in response to Steven Spielberg's comments that "there will be a time when the superhero movie goes the way of the Western."

The 49-year-old agreed with the legendary filmmaker — but only when it came to superheroes from the competing Marvel Universe! He said:
