Two women are suing Prince George's County after they were forced to take off their bras and carry them around the jail while visiting a relative.
Apparently the underwire in their bras kept setting off the metal detector and a guard told them "Until you're clear, you cannot come through here."
Mary Proctor and her daughter Zanaisha Walker asked to be wanded and to have their bras examined by a female officer in the restroom, but were denied. The only other option they had was to remove them, place it on the security tray and carry it around for the rest of their visit.
"It was embarrassing. You know, you have to walk around covered up … with your bra in your hand … it was just ridiculous."
The two are asking for $1 million in damages, which would buy them roughly 25,000 wire-free bras at Victoria's Secret.
