No, that's not a typo: zombees are invading San Francisco!
That's zombees not zombies!
A parasitic fly is infecting honey bees, making them act oddly… like zombies.
The Phorid fly injects its eggs into a honey bee where they'll eventually hatch into larva and begin to eat their way out of the bee!!
These parasitized bees go crazy and leave their hives at night and fly at lights and do other weird things most normal bees don't do. (Bees never fly at night.)
Thank goodness a scientist at San francisco State University is on the case!!
