Also, cats teach compassion. You can't just bother a cat and expect it to stay around like a dog. You have to be gentle.
Many people have introduced cats to the family during child-rearing to teach kindness compassion to young children.
94 year old Theodora Wesselman has lived with her cat Cleo for the past 21 years. An employee at the retirement community where Theodora lives says that she thinks the pair keep each other going.
They start and end the day together.
