38 animals were rescued from a farm in Northwest Missouri. There were 32 horses, four mini horses and 2 goats.
The veterinarian that had visited and reported this case said that the horses were malnourished and wouldn't survive the winter and recommended they be removed as soon as possible.
The horses were found severely underweight and had no access to food or fresh water. How terrible!
The rescued animals are being held at the Humane society, and if the society is awarded possession of the animals they will all be put up for adoption.
We are glad they were saved before it was too late!
