Fire crews at Langwarrin in Melbourne, Australia got to save a tiny life recently.
Here's the story:
A koala was hit by a car and took refuge in a tree.
When they went to rescue the little critter...
This is too cute!
A goose and a Highland bull named Hamish living at Knapdale Eco Lodge in New Zealand are celebrating their 10th anniversary as BFF's!
Hamish met his best bird friend when he was just a calf after the goose had lost her long-term partner in a fight with another animal at the lodge.
We had no idea, but apparently geese are monogamous and breed for life! She took it pretty hard when her long-term partner died, but immediately took a liking to Hamish when he was born.
Lodge owner Kees Weytmans says:
"I can remember the goose lying in the paw of the calf. They've been mates every since."
That is truly heart warming!
However, like most relationships, the pair does have their share of problems.
Weytmans says the goose is very possessive of her bull buddy, explaining:
"The goose normally keeps the other animals away from Hamish. "She is exceptionally jealous."
Congratulations to this unlikely pair and we wish them 10 more years of happiness!
