When Jesse Taylor went down to his garage to snare a rustling raccoon that he thought had set up camp, he had rather a beastly surprise.
For as he inched towards the shadows ready to catch it in his arms, the eyes that flashed before him were not those of a woodland scavenger - but of a fully-grown mountain lion.
Mr. Taylor's (possibly lazy) wife Michelle told the Victorville Daily Press it took her three days to check out what was making all that noise in that other part of her house. Adding, "I think it was in there since Sunday night."
California Fish and Game, Hesperia Animal Control and San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Hesperia station officials spent three hours trying to coax the young cougar out of its bolt hole so they could release it back into the wild.
