Steve-O is usually in the press for his crazy stunts but this time around it’s for a good deed. PETA is honouring the prankster for his efforts in promoting animal rights.
In case you didn’t know, Steve-O has been a vegan since 2009 and has also appeared in several campaigns for the organization.
So to congratulate him, Steve-O will be receiving the Peta Activism Award during a special reception in Fort Lauderdale, Florida today.
Ingrid E. Newkirk, Peta’s President, reveals:
"Steve-O may be a comedian, but to animals in trouble, he's a real champ. There's lots to laugh about in life, but animal abuse isn't funny, as Steve-O is quick to point out."
As for the comedian, he adds:
"Being a vegan, caring about animals… all of this compassion in my lifestyle is the reward in and of itself."
