Here's a crazy tip!
We've posted tips on keeping your pet healthy and happy this summer by staying hydrated and out of cars. BUT this is the FIRST time we've heard this stay cool summer pet tip!!
The vets at CARE (California Animal Rehab) sent us this pawmazing tip:
Chinese Medicine food therapy separates food into categories of warming and cooling foods. Some examples of cooling foods are: cooked spinach, cooked broccoli, small amounts of tofu, apples, pears and watermelon.
These foods are readily available during the spring and summer seasons, and a great addition to your pets diet especially in an effort to cool them down as the temperature rises.
BUT REMEMBER: to try one new food at a time in small quantities for tolerance.
WOW! Who know veggies are as good for our pets as they are for us!
