Canada has a problem with puppy mills.
It’s well known to animal rights activists that there are huge breeding operations that flood the market with animals just to make a profit.
Leaving animals in the shelter with the short end of the stick.
Well not anymore!
The Toronto city council has voted unanimously to ban the sale of dogs and cats through pet stores.
Now people will have no choice but to adopt through rescue organizations!
Smart move, Toronto. Now if only the rest of North America would follow suite…
