The Muppets may not be getting the best reviews for their ABC show, but they're certainly still trying to stay fresh with their commercials!

About a year ago, we posted a story about Firu, a dog that was dragged behind a truck then rescued and rehabilitated.
Well now the dog's original owners are SUING the woman who rescued Firu and the doctors who saved his life.
Her site, Barks and Wiggles Boxer Rescue, had this to say:
Because I am continually asked this information, I am going to post what I have been told. The last information I received from the District Attorney’s Office was last month. I was informed that the trial of the men related to the dragging of FIRU was scheduled for November 28, 2011, but it was unknown whether the trial would actually occur on that… date. I have not been able to reach anyone in the District Attorney’s Office since late September to confirm this information and it is possible that is a result of the below.
The men accused of dragging FIRU have filed a lawsuit against me personally, Barks and Wiggles, members of the District Attorney’s Office for the 26th Judicial District and/or members of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, the Animal Hospital of East Burke, and various other persons. They have alleged libel and slander for information disseminated regarding this situation and even alleged I have responsibility for what others have posted on my page.
As a result of this lawsuit, I have been forced to retain counsel for myself and Barks and Wiggles, causing me tremendous financial and emotional strain, and causing Barks and Wiggles’ rescue operations to be placed on hold. My attorney has asked that I no longer post while we review the allegations of the lawsuit and work through our responses. Therefore, I will not be responding to posts on this site or providing updates.
I ask that you PLEASE not post anything on this page about the two men involved in this incident. If you would like to help, please consider donating to assist with the legal defense of Barks and Wiggles in the lawsuit. Any donation, no matter how large or small, is greatly appreciated and truly helps.

Thank you in advance for any support you can offer.
Sometimes, the world just seems so backwards. We hope this can all be peacefully resolved.
