Florida Officials Catch 16-Foot Python

In Florida, officials caught a 16-foot-long Burmese python in the Everglades.

The snake had recently eaten an adult deer!

It is apparently the largest snake ever found in Florida.

The snake had been killed by a shotgun blast and a biologist later examined it and said:

"This is clearly an extreme event. It shows you they can eat huge things."

Do humans count as huge things? We think they do.

Miranda Lambert Sends Pet Rescue Units To Moore, Oklahoma!

Miranda Lambert is a real mensch!

The Oklahoma native has done everything she can to help the victims of the tornado that mainly ripped through Moore, Oklahoma. Now her help is extending to the furry victims, too!

The singer has dispatched veterinarians associated with the MuttNation Foundation, which Lambert started in 2009, to the town of Moore where they will set up shop to help injured dogs and cats in the area.

The temporary shelters were set up on Wednesday, and Lambert is very happy to do her part.
