Kristin Bauer joined with the World Society for the Protection of Animals, an organization that helps vaccinate dogs around the world against rabies.
They're the organization that vaccinates stray dogs then releases them with a red collar, so people know the dogs aren't infected.
Millions of strays around the world are brutally killed each year due to fear of rabies.
"I was absolutely shocked when I heard that governments around the world are resorting to poisoning, shooting or gassing dogs as a way to try and prevent the spread of rabies.
It’s so important to spread the word about WSPA’s effective and humane alternative solution – mass vaccination – so that this horrible cruelty ends."
The organization has been effectively implementing their Collars Not Cruelty campaign all over the world, showing theres an alternative to mass dog slaughter.
The WSPA said:
"With Kristin’s support and her ability to reach an even wider audience, we are hoping to continue this positive momentum and show other governments and communities everywhere that a world without rabies does not mean a world without dogs."
Kristin puts it best:
"We must continue to demand collars, not cruelty, in the fight against rabies."
