Fire crews at Langwarrin in Melbourne, Australia got to save a tiny life recently.
Here's the story:
A koala was hit by a car and took refuge in a tree.
When they went to rescue the little critter...
A 62-year-old man was out jogging along Lake Michigan in Chicago when he was suddenly attacked by two pit bulls!
He started yelling for help as the two 70-pound dogs bit him all over.
"He was yelling, 'Somebody help me, please help me.'"
The witness's husband ran to help the man, trying to beat the dogs off with a large stick, but the animals wouldn't budge.
"One had the man by his arm and the other had him by his leg and they just had a lock on him [and] they wouldn't let him go. I couldn't believe what I was looking at."
Police then showed up on the scene and were forced to open fire on the dogs; killing them.
The dogs were collared but not tagged, with no microchips embedded.
Police are currently searching for the owner or owners.
Sounds to us like someone's illegal fighting dogs got loose and just went crazy.
The man is currently in critical condition. We hope he's okay.
