Liam Neeson and Joe Carnahan, director of his new movie, The Grey, were doing a question and answer with the press when they started asking how he prepared for such an intense and demanding role.
Liam claimed that he'd been toughening himself up for the role by eating wolf meat!
Month-old wolf jerky to be exact.
"[Wolf jerky] was quite nice."
Director Carnahan said that most of the cast "got physically ill" after eating the jerky, saying:
"It was a mental reaction."
Aside from eating jerky, he made it seem like he didn't have to prepare much other than that to get into character, seeing as how they were actually in the wilderness.
They were filming in temperatures claimed to be as low as 34 degrees… BELOW zero!!!
We're not sure how we feel about them eating wolves, but we do know that movie looks intense, and now that we know Liam will be running around in subzero weather with a belly full of wolf, his performance should be that much more powerful.
