And cue the Jurassic Park theme song!

Scientists in Russia and South Korea are going to join forces to bring back the woolly mammoth!

So amazing.

A russian team has joined with South Korea's stem cell superstar, Hwang Woo-Suk to resurrect the 4,500-year-old creature.

They are going to extract DNA from thawed mammoths who were found when Siberia's permafrost thawed due to global warming.

Hwang is the scientist who cloned the first dog and recently cloned 8 coyotes.

He also lost face within the scientific community in 2005 after it was found out that his "breakthrough" in human cloning research was faked.

Well, Hwang, give us a mammoth and all is forgiven!
