Sex is becoming waaaay too important for the folks in DC!
The Smithsonian National Zoo has been trying to get their two pandas, Mei Xiang and Tian Tian, to get ready for baby-making.
The problem? They've been trying to SIX years!
While the couple has been together for ten years, Mei and Tian have only produced one cub, Tai Shan.
Mei is 13 so she may be getting too old and Tian isn't very good at mating so the zoo may pack up shop and replace both of the bears.
Staffers artificially inseminated Mei this past weekend, and even live-tweeted the event.
If no cub comes to fruition then it could be goodbye panda…
Cross your fingers for this couple!
