In New York City, a vet has been accused of dumping the bodies of euthanized pets along a highway!
The vet, Andrew Manesis, was arrested on two misdemeanor counts of petit larceny, scheming to defraud and a violation of environmental code.
The Westchester County Public Safety Commissioner said:
"Dr. Manesis was entrusted by his clients to dispose of their pets' remains in a proper and dignified manner. Instead, it appears he simply pulled off to the side of a local highway and tossed the animal carcasses into the woods."
Apparently a highway worker found 26 cats, 8 dogs and a lizard in the woods just off the highway.
It's possible it's been at least a year that this horrible man has been dumping animals on the side of the road.
People's animals can be like their children so we can only imagine how distraught they must be to find out their pet was tossed on the side of the road instead of cremated.
We hope justice is served.
