McDonald's is putting their money where their mouth is!
Months after joining the cause and announcing they will no longer use gestation crates for their pork, Mickey D's has a plan of action.
The Humane Society likes what they hear, but McDonald's ten year plan isn't quick enough by their standards.
In a statement, the advocacy group writes:
These cages are so cramped, the animals are unable even to turn around, essentially immobilized and lined up like parked cars for virtually their entire lives.
We wish the company planned to get rid of these crates tomorrow, but we understand the logistical challenges involved in making such significant improvements.
Domino's refuses to phase out the metal crates that stack sows on top of another but other restaurants, such as Wendy's, Burger King, and Denny's have promised to quit the practice as well.
We'll see in the golden arches can put some pep in their step in their phase out plan.
