Summer time and the livin's easy!
But there are some dangers out there for cats, especially kitties that venture outside.
1. Fights with other animals.
If your cat spends more time outdoors, unleashed than fights may happen. Consider using a harness to keep your kitty (and other cats) in check.
Maggots can easily cut your cat's skin, especially if they have cuts and scrapes. Make sure your cuddle bug stays clean and hygienic to make sure other bugs stay out!
White and hairless cats are very susceptible to sunburn and skin cancer. Keeping them cool and in the shade works wonders
4. Picnic food.
When it comes to cats and human food…JUST SAY NO!!!!!!! The cats don't have the enzymes to digest dairy but if it's in the open, they will make a beeline for it! Meat may sound good to give them, but it could hurt them too.
Fish hooks, algae, antifreeze and pools are definitely other things to avoid when it comes to your kitty.
Taking the right steps to protect your cat can make sure you AND your pet can enjoy the summer heat!
