Illinois First Inland State To Ban Shark Fin!

Way to go(-is), Illinois!
Governor Pat Quinn made the trek to the Windy City to sign into a law a bill that bans the sale, trade or distribution of shark fin.
This monumental act will help global efforts protecting dwindling shark populations. Shark fin is used in soups and remedies and Chi-town's Chinatown was believed to have a strong shark fin consumption rate.
Sharks are often tossed back into the sea to bleed out or drown once their fins are removed.
Looks like Illinois has got sharks' backs!
