Escaped Monkey Cheeses It From Wake Forest University

Watch out, citizens of Winston-Salem, NC. There's a monkey on the loose!

A escaped monkey is wandering the streets near Wake Forest University after he booked it from one of their labs.

The primate is the size of a cat and is part of a breeding colony that sends monkeys to other research projects.

A team of veterinarians, animal control and police officers thought the monkey would still be on campus but neighborhoods have reported otherwise.

Citizens are instructed not to interact with the escapee, as disease or injury can occur.

We just hope nothing went on inside the Wake Forest labs that would raise a few eyebrows…
