So very, very sad….

The world's largest sea turtle's conservation took a bump on the head as over 20,000 eggs and hatchlings were crushed to death in Trinidad.

Government workers with bulldozers were redirecting the Grand Riviere from a hotel, where patrons stay to watch the leatherneck turtles.

But the workers flubbed it up, unearthing a giant swath that crushed the eggs.

Vultures and stray dogs went after the sloppy and horrifying remains…

Thankfully, thousands of hatchlings were rescued and evacuated during the aftermath of the destruction.

Environmentalists state that while this event is devastating, it would not deter the conservation efforts for the leatherneck turtle.

They also believe that the Trinidadian government showed no concern and a lack of foresight.
