Looks like this story is more like The Prince
ss and the Frog!
A new species of tree frog was discovered in Ecuador in 2008, the Hyloscirtus princecharlesi.
What's so special about this new frog? It's named after Prince Charles!
Dr. Luis A. Coloma first discovered the rare amphibian while more were discovered in Cotacachi-Cayapas National Park, though their numbers are terribly small due to deforestation.
As part of the Amphibian Ark project, two tree frogs are being raised in captivity to help their numbers.
Prince Charles was chosen for the species' name due to his efforts to end forest destruction and his charity work to preserve nature.
The frog is now known as the Prince Charles stream tree frog!
