First, Ke$ha voiced her concern of Lady Gaga's fur loving ways, through her words AND a fake letter.
Now it's Def Jam's Russell Simmons' turn.
The mogul, who also founded Phat Farm, has written his own letter on Global Grind to Mother Monster, criticizing her choice to wear fur.
In the letter, titled A Love Letter to Lady Gaga, Simmons states that artists, whether they are musicians, poets, or whatever else, have "always been on the side of love and compassion."
In his opinion, fur is NOT on that side.
But, Lady Gaga defends her stance on fur, calling it "art" and something special.
She states in her letter, titled Furgate Part I:
I have truly always stayed away from skinned fur, especially i have never been able to afford a nice one, but this does not mean my morals are rigid and that I won't bend at the sight of an absolute art piece of a coat.
I have no chains about this. You see a carcass, I see a museum pièce de résistance. But I am truly sorry to fans who are upset by this, its a fair and applaudable feeling about the health and safety of animals.
I respect your views, please respect mine. And to campaigners, Save your flour to make bread for the children who are hungry.
And Kim Kardashian is fabulous.
So Kim K has an fur ally in Gaga?
Still, we respect Gaga's opinion and the way she's handled herself but FUR IS NO GO!
SAY NO TO FUR!
