Ricky Gervais Fires Back At Animal Rights Doubters On Twitter

We're not sure if he's tweeting his support…or defending it!

Ricky Gervais is always one to speak his mind and his support of animals is something we all know.

But, there are folks out there in the Twitter-verse who can't seem to make any sense of it.

Luckily, Ricky lends and helping hand and answers his doubters' questions!

He tweets the following:

I get tweets like “why do you care about animals when there are people suffering?”I let God take care of people, I do all the critters.

“don’t see why I can’t care about both.”Exactly. Although actually doing something about one of them is better than just caring about both

“why care about animals when there are people being killed in Syria?”I’m not stopping you carry on your selfless work in Syria am I?

Ouch…even the general public can't be spared from a Gervais skewering!

But it should be a great lesson to learn. Just because you care about the environment doesn't mean you're ignoring the plight of humans either!
