System of a Down's Serj Tankian believes abuse is one and the same, no matter who, or what, is in danger.

The SOAD frontman explains to PETA that animal abuse is just as horrific as human abuse. He believes that humans shouldn't believe they are above other species.

Serj explains:

I think that's something that we always forget with our self-differentiation and egos—that we think that we're different.
