Baby steps, Rosie….baby steps!
Rosie O'Donnell has been on the mend since her heart attack in August and changing her diet has been a big step in the process.
The comedienne watched the heralded Forks over Knives documentary and sought help from Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn's diet, a doctor famous for his approach on veganism.
However, while the doc's diet is good and STRICT, Rosie decided it wasn't for her, switching to a fish and plant based diet.
She says the following on her new diet choice:
It’s plant-based — no animal products at all. It’s basically vegetarian, but we do eat fish — it’s actually called pescetarian.
I do miss steak, cheeseburgers, cheese — I miss dairy in general. But I feel so much better already.
Rosie will appear on Dr. Oz to discuss her battle with heart disease and life after her cardiac arrest.
Here's hoping to more healthy years for Rosie!
