The Dalai Lama accompanied the President of the Humane Society of the United States, Wayne Pacelle on Wednesday to honor the World Compassion Day.
And not only was he celebrating animal prosperity and vegetarianism at the event, but he preached why being a plant-eating individual is great, he said:
“I was not vegetarian till about five decades ago, but when I saw hens being abused on an animal farm, I decided to become vegetarian. The media must play an important role, and even the younger generation must be informed about moral ethics through education. A vegetarian diet is the most healthy one for you. We must respect all forms of life.”
Only cray thing is, Wayne busted out Lama and said he's currently NOT a vegetarian, but does condemn factory farming, loves vegetarian food and thinks an herbivorous diet is best for everyone and animals.
Hmmm, it's sad to say, but homeboy sounds confused! We're happy he wants to promote a vegetarian diet, but if he's not a vegetarian himself, what's the point?!?
He should really practice what he's preaching!!
What do U think?!?
