Paul McCartney just celebrated Thanksgiving without Turkey, so to continue his no meat craze, he's requesting a meat-free day!
The Beatle recently attended the Climate Change Conference in Doha, which was ran by H.E. Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiyah and Christiana Figueres, and because he's a HUGE backer of the environment, he wrote:
“Although more and more evidence is coming to light showing how the growth of the global meat industry is having alarming environmental consequences, the impact of the livestock sector on global warming does not as yet seem to have been acknowledged by the Conference of the Parties (COP). I therefore call upon you to bring this issue to the attention of the conference and encourage the adoption of policy and individual actions, such as a weekly meat-free day.”
Guess switching in meat for some veggies won't hurt anyone, especially because it would save a lot of animals in the process.
Soooo, we're definitely saying hell yeah to a meatless day!!
