Since Bill Clinton has said that being vegan doesn't suck, he obviously had an agenda behind that thought… and now we know!
Last week, the former Prez took a trip to Sacramento where chef Adam Pechal made him and his staff a vegan meal.
"Cooking vegan is not my forte, but I love a challenge. This was a once in a lifetime thing.”
With the challenge in order, the city's renowned newspaper, the Sacramento Bee revealed what Clinton indulged in.
He had a tatsoi salad with Napa cabbage, almonds, red carrots and citrus-ginger dressing and housemade spinach pasta with golden cauliflower, roasted peppers, confited cippolini onions, arugula and toasted almonds.
Clinton's staff also had some great eats - as they grubbed on Black radish chips, kale and parsnip chips, roasted peppers, rainbow chard bundles filled with curried potatoes, turnips, mushrooms and leeks, Fresno chilis stuffed with Burgess buttercup squash and roasted garlic and crostini with Tuscan white bean spread.
Even after chowing down on a delicious meal, Bill was definitely not done with his vegan gourmet eats, because the next day he headed to the LYFE Kitchen in Palo Alto where he "enjoyed a vegan tasting featuring creations from expert, LYFE Chef Tal Ronnen including, sweet corn chowder, quinoa crunch wrap and he loved the Crispy gardein Chicken Sandwich."
Dang, the politician is eating GOOD!
We're not surprised though, because vegan goodies are just as good as anything else, and are extremely healthy!!
So maybe we should have a meat-free day! LOLz
