New Super Baby Dolphin Is A Scientific First At Discovery Cove

A baby gurl dolphin has been born at Discovery Cove and she's special for multiple reasons!
The baby is the first calf born at the Cove using the technology of "sperm sexing." What is sperm sexing? It's the separation of female producing X sperm and male producing Y sperm.
The scientific breakthrough allows the Cove to produce genetically diverse dolphins and pick and choose which gender the baby will be.
