Some reports claim that jellyfish are experiencing population booms and the ocean will slow be taking over by them.
But studies of longtime records of the animal suggest otherwise…so no jellyfishing just yet!
Jellyfish blooms, or massive amounts of jellyfish, were studied in the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, where scientists found that the rise in jellyfish began in 1993 and peaked in 2004. While this cycle theory doesn't rule out growing jellyfish blooms entirely, it does cast doubt in the area.
So be afraid!!! Or not….nobody knows yet!!! LOLz!
Just be thankful you don't come across jellies in the Sea of Japan…they can grow up to 7 feet in diameter!
