HBO seems to be taking the adage "beating a dead horse" further and further.
A former employee of the American Humane Association is suing HBO for wrongful termination after she tried to expose HBO's animal welfare cover-up.
She states that she saw several drugged, underweight and/or sick horses on set, many of which were misidentified by producers to make it harder for animal rights representatives to track.
Nasty!!!! Who would do such things?!!?!
HBO is still sticking with their "we did everything we could" defense but these legal battles are coming from all sides.
Remember, it was PETA who got the ball rolling when they backed an investigation of the series.
"This lawsuit shows that the days when animals could be abused and killed behind the closed doors of the film and television industry are over. If you harm an animal in Hollywood, PETA is going to find out. While we await the results of the ongoing investigations prompted by our complaints, we're encouraged that all the facts surrounding the deaths of the horses on Luck will finally come out in a court of law."
HBO seems like it's in big trawble!!! We'll keep you posted!
