Sad….these poor snakes should be left alone!

The Florida Everglades will be hosting its annual snake hunting contest, called the Python Challenge.

All participants need is $25, and an online participation class before they get to go out in the wild and kill snakes for an ENTIRE MONTH!

The organizers believe the event will raise awareness toward the rampant Burmese snake population in the Everglades, as they can cause harm to the local ecosystem.

But is there a more humane of ridding the Glades of these pythons without shooting them in the head?

Apparently not for a retired salesman participating in the event…..

He wants to use machetes because that would be safer than people with guns…

We just don't know sometimes…we just don't know…
