A dog treats company has recalled two of its products due to antibiotic residue in their meats from China.
Nestle Purina PetCare Co. voluntarily withdrew all Waggin’ Train and Canyon Creek Ranch brand dog treats sold in the United States.
New York's state agricultural department found the residue, which is legal for poultry in China but it is considered adulteration in the States.
Nestle Purina was sure to call it a "withdrawal" instead of a "recall" to make sure pet owners knew it is still technically safe to eat the products.
