Florida residents' Victor and Julie Vu were housing pigs, ducks, chickens, turtles, birds, a dog… and an ALLIGATOR!!
But after a neighbor noticed that the Vu's were illegally keeping animals that didn't belong in the city… authorities from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, SPCA Tampa Bay and the Pinellas County Animal Services went to the couple's Clearwater home and confiscated the creatures.
Facing a misdemeanor, Julie said she didn't know keeping animals was "illegal," adding:
"Honestly, we love animals. We didn't know that the neighbors had a problem. It's just sad that it's not good to have them in the city."
All of the critters have not been taken away, but we're pretty sure the Vu's will NOT be able to hold onto the rest of their zoo! LOLz
After we heard this piece of news our world turned upside down!
According to Sanrio, the company behind Hello Kitty, the famous character is NOT a cat. We repeat, Hello Kitty is NOT a cat.
Uhm, yeah, we're confused too.
Christine R. Yano, an anthropologist from the University of Hawaii who is curating the upcoming Hello Kitty retrospective at the Japanese American National Museum in October, uncovered the crazy truth.
