How horrifying is this?!?
On Wednesday, 10 million burger patties packed with HORSEMEAT were recalled from Irish and British supermarkets, and although the meat is said to not cause any harm — there's no reason why beef should contain horsemeat.
After the Food Safety Authority of Ireland tested the patties' DNA, traces of
My Little Pony horsemeat was found in over a third of the grub.
And now, according to Ireland's Prime Minister Enda Kenny:
"There is a full investigation going on as to how the imported additives got into the system and where they came from. This is very important for Ireland's reputation."
It's not clear how the horsemeat even got into the beef, but experts believe that the traces have to deal with consumer fraud, 'cuz horsemeat costs a lot less than beef.
We don't know about you, but this really has us in deep thought. Just think, the next time you bite into a hamburger… you could be eating horsemeat! LOLz
We kid, we kid.
