Jon Stewart Says Goodbye To The Daily Show And Hello To Farm Life! The Host & His Wife Bought A Farm For Animals Rescued From Cruelty!
Jon Stewart is going to have a little more free time on his hands now that he has left The Daily Show, and he's going to spend it for the greater good.
It's been reported that the longtime anchor and his wife Tracy McShane are planning on opening an animal farm for rescues!
The couple recently bought a farm in New Jersey to provide a home for farm animals rescued from cruelty, and are joining forces with the Farm Sanctuary!
The 52-year-old and his wife already have quite the startup. Along with their two children, the family owns four dogs, two pigs, two hamsters, three rabbits, two guinea pigs, one parrot, and two fish -- all are rescues!
McShane says that promising her children animal shelter visits in exchange for completed homework is "the norm in the Stewart household." She continues to explain how animal interaction positively affects her children:
