Fire crews at Langwarrin in Melbourne, Australia got to save a tiny life recently.
Here's the story:
A koala was hit by a car and took refuge in a tree.
When they went to rescue the little critter...
And it's for TWO good causes!!!
Zambia is joining the FUN party of banning trophy hunting, following in Kenya and Botswana's footsteps.
Leopard and lion hunting will be banned in 2013, two of the big five of trophy hunting, (elephants, water buffalo and rhinos are the other three). The government hopes the bans will boost ecotourism.
Zambia did make $3 million from hunting last year…but that pales to the $125 million they make in tourism.
So yeah…we think this is a smart, eco-friendly BUSINESS decision too!
