Losing your luggage is never easy.
The last thing you want to do after waiting for hours at the bag carousel is to have to deal with not having any of your stuff and dealing with airline people trying to track it down.
But should the worst happen, most of the time at least, things are replaceable.
A woman was moving from New York to Arizona so she booked a one-way flight to Phoenix for her doggy.
Somehow, a mix up at United sent the dog on a flight to Shannon, Ireland. That's 5,000 miles in the wrong way!
The woman said:
"Somebody called me and told me that there was something wrong with the dog, and that the dog was on its way to Ireland instead of to Phoenix. I felt like somebody punched me in the stomach. I mean, that's my dog. That's like my child."
That must've been just AWFUL!!
Thankfully, airline workers made sure to take care of her pooch and sent him back home on the next flight to Phoenix.
Now they're reunited and everything is okay again!! Yay happy ending!
