Devra Sisitsky was heartbroken when her English mastiff died and the vet wouldn't return her dog Maggie's ashes to her!!
So when her friend Dave asked her if she wanted to join him in a business venture that would provide funeral services for pets, she totally said yes!
"I was heartbroken. I was upset, and when Dave approached me, it was something that resonated with me. We are trying to take the trauma out of this."
They are going to open Beloved Companions, which will offer all sorts of funeral services for pets.
They will do cremations, burials and even help to organize remembrance services.
They will even provide referrals for grief counseling.
"We want to bring the human element into the process to console pet families and not rush through the grieving process. Sometimes it is hard to make decisions immediately after your family pet has passed. A little time, caring and explanation can go a long way."
That sounds like such a necessary service they're providing!
Way to impact your community positively and help others!!
