Double Amputee Walmart Customer Shoots Employee Over Service Dog Disagreement

We hope the dog is okay!

A double amputee, in a wheelchair and with a service dog, got into a disagreement with a Walmart employee over his service animal.

The disabled man pulled out a gun and shot the employee - the shooting victim is now in critical condition at the hospital.

The man in the wheelchair attempted to flee, but was apprehended outside of the store.

His dog is being taken care of by another police officer.

The disabled man has been charged with first degree assault and weapons misconduct, and when he was asked if he'd like a public defender, he refused and said:

"I know how to do that."

We sure hope he does because he could be facing a lot of time in prison!

What was he thinking???

Psycho and obviously no stranger to killing. Hope he enjoys jail.

I don't believe that was a trained service dog, as it was a puppy. Service dog training takes 18-24 months.

The Judge says 50,000 cash bond and he can get out of jail.

Here in Anchorage I the courts left the "mentally ill" out of jail (over and over and over) while they go out and commit the same crimes (over and over and over) so no doubt he will get out and do it again. Sad thing is I shop at that Walmart….

NOT a service dog. It was just his pet, and it was off-leash. This man is mentally ill. I do feel sorry for the puppy though. I'm sure he'll get adopted.
