No one said pets were easy or cheap!
Still, this was a messed up situation!
Senka Besirevic, from Birmingham in London, lost her cat Brandy over seven years ago but she never lost hope and now the two have been reunited!
Imagine her surprise then when a vet clinic called her up and identified her as the owner of a cat that had recently been brought in. They had identified her as the owner from a microchip underneath Brandy's fur.
So she called the couple, a Karen and Carl Green, and thanked them for looking after her cat but told them she wanted her back and was willing to pay them for taking care of her feline for three years.
But the couple refused.
So Senka took them to court, and after nine months and almost fifteen hundred dollars in court fees, Senka won the custody rights of her cat back!
Here's what Senka said:
"It's cost me money to get her back but it was worth every penny. I have effectively been given custody of Brandy and I am determined not to lose her again. I love her. It is just a shame I had to go to court to get her back."
We're glad these two can purr and meow together again until the end of time!
Maybe a little before that, ha!
