Be VERY afraid!
A brand new type of tarantula has been found in Sri Lanka with a leg span of 8 inches. That's about the size of a face.
Scientists believe they are part of the Poecilotheria genus, and they're finding them not just in the forest.
But in old buildings, too!
Here's what a scientist said:
"They are quite rare. They prefer well-established old trees, but due to deforestation the number have dwindled and due to lack of suitable habitat they enter old buildings."
Although the tarantulas are very similar to other similar types of tarantulas - there's one special difference.
They have pink abdominal band markings on their body.
So if you see a tarantula with that, and it is not already on your face - we've only got one word to say to you.
