This is absolutely horrific!
At a rural ranch in Idaho, three adults were found shot to death!
A two-year-old and a two-month-old were also found at the scene but they were unharmed.
The cops found that the place was clearly a dog-fighting compound because there were 63 pit bulls there.
The Idaho Humane Society (IHS), who has stepped in to take care of the poor doggies, said:
"Most of the dogs are underweight and suffering from malnutrition. Many of them have open cuts and extensive scarring from old wounds and have skin, eye, and ear ailments resulting from neglect of their basic care. A few dogs have old injuries of broken bones that were left untreated."
What's good is many of the pit bulls are actually pretty friendly, happy to be out of their awful situation, playing around the exercise yard at the IHS.
They are currently assessing the animals to see if they can safely be rehabilitated and eventually adopted.
They're actually flying in two national experts who deal with rehabilitating dogs bred for fighting, so hopefully they can find those poor pups some homes!
