No word on the babe's name yet, but a critically endangered Sumatran Tiger cub has been born at the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium in Tacoma, Washington.
Not only is this great for the Sumatran Tiger species in general, but this is great for people who love cute animal photos.
In fact - these may be the cutest!!!
"We are elated with this birth. Sumatran Tigers are highly endangered. There are only 74 in North American zoos and approximately 200 in zoos around the world. Only about 250 to 300 remain in their native habitat on the Indonesian island of Sumatra.”
Well, now it's 200 and one!
Score for the endangered species list!
Here's what the zoo's director said:
“This is a confirmation of worldwide efforts to conserve this magnificent species.”
Magnificent AND adorable!
