The Chicago Department of Aviation has awarded a contract for sustainable grazing services for Chicago International Airport.
That means that instead of paying humans to take care of their lawns, they're going to have a herd of goats take care of it!!
Yes, that's a real thing that's going to be happening!
A herd of 25 goats, a shepherd and maybe some sheep will be clearing weeds at the airport.
They'll be a sustainable alternative to toxic herbicides and save the environment from having to deal with the exhaust from mowers.
The goats are expected to clear around 250 square feet of vegetation per day.
The goats have a budget of up to $100,000!! That's a whole lotta dough for a herd of goats!
Those lucky goats, they get paid to do what they love! LOLz!
Way to be green, Chicago!
