Riley the dog is a bit of an adrenaline junkie.
How do we know this?
Because he followed his owner into an airplane... and then followed his owner out of that airplane before it landed!!
Jackie Sharp lost her beloved kitty cat, Dallas, back in 2000.
He was three-years-old when he disappeared by a creek near her home in Petaluma, CA.
"I was going through my first year of college at Santa Rosa Junior College, and it was crazy and stressful. It was horrible. I was looking everywhere for him. It was very sad. I loved that cat. At the end of the day I would come home and he would just curl up on my lap and purr. He was always there for me. He got me through a lot."
There are few things harder than losing pet. It must be awful not knowing where they are, if they're hurt, if they're scared.
Eventually, Jackie had to stop looking and move on with her life.
Cut to 13 year later, it's the present and Jackie received a call from an animal care center, who said that they have her cat.
"I was in shock. It has been 13 years. I figured he had found a new home or was gone by now."
That's ahmayzing!! Lots of cats don't even live to be that old!
Dallas had a microchip implanted in him, so when he was picked up, they were able to track Jackie down.
Dallas was in pretty bad shape when they found him, he was extremely malnourished, but he's at least receiving top notch veterinary care now.
The crazy part is, he was found at the same creek where he disappeared!
Jackie is so glad to be reunited with her kitty cat, who recognized her right after seeing her. She said:
"He stared at me, then he climbed up into my lap and started to purr. I always loved his eyes with those grey specks in them. Once I saw his eyes, I knew it was him. He’s a fighter. If he can make it through living in a creek for 13 years, he can make it through anything."
Awwww! That's so adorbz we can hardly stand it!
We hope her kitty gets back to health and the two of them can enjoy a real life together for his remaining years!
