Holly Chugg Jones and Julian Light suffered an awful tragedy when their dog Dobby fell off a cliff in the UK!!
They had to go home, sad and alone, after they searched but found no sign of their dearest doggy.
"The coastguard were there within 15 minutes but it was getting dark and so we had to go back to the campsite although I didn't want to leave. I didn't sleep a wink, I was so upset. The next morning the search started again but there was nothing we could do but sit in our car and watch. It was awful. I kept imagining Dobby dead in a ditch or washed out to sea."
The crew was responding to reports of a woman calling for help, but it only turned out to be a sheep bleating.
The sheep had found the dog and was yelling for help!!
"Words can't describe the relief we felt, it was incredible. We jumped straight in the car and returned to the coast to get her."
Even though the dog fell a solid 250ft and didn't have any food or water for two days, she was in good condition and is already back home with her mama and papa.
The coastguard manager said Dobby was in good spirits when she was rescued, saying:
"She came bounding up to our cliffman and gave him a big lick on the face. She is one lucky dog. It is great this story had a happy ending."
Aww! That absolutely warms our heart!
We're so glad these people got their doggy back! They should give that sheep a prize! Without all that bleating, they may have never found Dobby!
What an incredible story! We love happy endings!
